      • Technical re-equipment of the sulfuric acid deaeration plant of Eurochem-BMU, Belorechensk

      Customer: EuroChem-BMU LLC, Belorechensk

      Object: Sulfuric acid workshop, industrial site of EuroChem-BMU LLC, Belorechensk, Krasnodar Territory

      Initial conditions: the deaeration plant, commissioned in 1985, with a design capacity of 145 m3/hour, and a dissolved oxygen content in feed water of no more than 20 micrograms/liter

      Design objective: Provision of the HRS recovery boiler, the OU-66 recovery boiler, the steam generator, and the HRS tower dilution system with feed water of the required quality (dissolved oxygen content in feed water is less than 7 micrograms/l) and in the required quantities (up to 300 m3/h) when the load of the installation changes from 50 to 300 m3/h.

      Year of implementation: 2013

      The following works were carried out by the staff:

      - basic project development;

      - supply of the main equipment necessary for the reconstruction (technical re-equipment) of the deaeration plant with the necessary technical and licensing documentation;

      - supply of monitoring and control devices;

      - supervising the installation of the supplied equipment;

      - commissioning works;

      - conducting warranty tests;

      - training of technological and repair personnel.

      The specialists of the Intechservice company carried out the reconstruction of the deaeration unit of the sulfuric acid workshop in full, as stipulated by the contract.

      According to the agreement with your organization, in 2013, the deaeration plant in our sulfuric acid workshop was reconstructed using the centrifugal vortex principle of deaeration. During the tests of the deaeration plant equipment, we managed to achieve a flow rate of 260 m3/hour of deaerated water with a residual oxygen content of no more than 0.007 mg/dm3. The actual achieved oxygen concentration at a capacity of 160-170 m3/hour is 0.005 mg/dm3.
      The reconstructed deaeration plant has been successfully operated in the sulfuric acid workshop for more than 3 years, and therefore it was decided to carry out its further reconstruction with an increase in productivity to 370 m3/h based on the design and equipment of Intechservice LLC. This project is currently underway.

      In October-November 2013, an atmospheric deaeration plant of Zimin B.A. design, protected by RF patent No. 2494308, was installed and put into operation. The deaeration plant contains: 1. Centrifugal vortex deaerator (DCV) of the first stage of deaeration, 2. Drip deaerator (CD) of the second stage of deaeration, which is a storage tank with two water dispersants located in the steam space of the storage tank, 3. Contact vapor cooler (HVAC), acting as a condenser of water vapor of the vapor and a preliminary stage of deaeration, 4. Intermediate tank (PB) for draining water from HVAC, 5.Pumps for pumping water from PB to DCV. A variant of the scheme of the deaeration plant was used with the supply of 100% deaerated water sequentially through HVAC, through PB, through DCV, through CD and further through feed pumps and consumers of deaerated water.
      The deaeration plant is designed to prepare feed water for imported heat recovery boilers for the production of sulfuric acid, which require, according to the regulations, a residual oxygen content in deaerated water of no more than 7 micrograms/liter.
      The deaerated water is demineralized water from the Central heating Plant, which has been treated with cation exchange filters, decarbonizers, anion exchange filters and mixed-action filters.
      The operation of the deaeration plant in the period from December 2013 to March 29, 2014 was carried out at loads of 155 - 160 t/h with a residual oxygen content in deaerated water of less than 3 micrograms/l. At the same time, the temperature of the demineralized water entering the deaeration was 78 - 82 ° C. In the contact evaporation cooler, the temperature of the water drained from HVAC and PB is barely noticeable, which indicates the practical absence of heat loss with evaporation.
      A one-time test of the installation for maximum productivity showed a value of 280 t/h. At the same time, the temperature of the water entering the deaeration was at 60 °C. There was no visible evaporation from HVAC and PB, and the residual oxygen content in the deaerated water did not exceed the required 7 micrograms/liter.
      The residual oxygen content is analyzed by a stationary electronic oxygen meter.

      Conclusion:

      The deaeration plant, developed and installed by Intechservice LLC on the basis of the Zimin B.A. patent, reliably, sustainably and economically meets the needs of the sulfuric acid workshop in deaerated water of appropriate quality over the entire range of production loads.
